Both parents must contribute to the cost of their children where they are able to do so

The extent of a parents obligation to financially contribute is provided for by the Child Support (Assessment) Act 1989. While child support is generally dealt with by the Child Support Agency, there is also an ability for parents to have a private agreement in place.

If you have a private agreement, it’s important that the agreement is documented properly to ensure it is contractually binding. We can document your agreement in a Binding or Limited Child Support Agreement.
